What is MSA?

MSA is a job platform designed to make your life easier. We’ve streamlined the casting process into one, easy to use format that’s familiar and accessible. Search our database using a variety of filters, create projects and invite members for instant communication. There are no hidden fees, and most impressively, NO COMMISSION FEES. Let our system handle your managerial tasks so you can focus on your project.

Does MSA guarantee jobs?

We don't guarantee jobs, but if you follow our guidelines, we can guarantee more exposure for you. MSA is a job platform, so make sure you take full advantage of our features.

Why use MSA?

Our features are designed to make your job searching, casting and communication simple and easy. You can now communicate with your whole team, manage your jobs using the calender system, chat with clients before commiting to a job, and advertise your services, all within ONE account.

Is MSA free?

MSA has both FREE and PREMIUM memberships. See HERE for a list of features in each membership.

Your Profile

Can I show my email to the public?

Yes, our profile editor allows you to add email, phone numbers, website etc.

What kind of pictures should I upload?

Upload your best pictures, from a variety of past jobs. It's important to separate them into albums so potential clients can easily sort through them.

Is my profile picture important?

Of course! Your profile picture is also your thumbnail, and it's the picture everyone will see in the search engine. Upload a Profile picture as soon as you can.

How can I get maxmimum exposure?

Remember, every detail you enter into your profile can be searched by clients. Make sure you have a COMPLETE profile with useful information. List your past EXPERIENCES, some info about yourself, your measurements, the gear you use, your contact details and links to external protfolios and sources. The more you have on your profile, the better.

w## What is a featured model? Premium models get the added benefit of being featured on the home page. Only 8 slots are available at any time, and they rotate once a week.

Account and Membership

I forgot my password.

Click reset password at the LOGIN PAGE and check your email for instructions on how to reset. Remember, MSA will NEVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR EMAIL.

How do I upgrade my membership?

Click the menu icon on your PROFILE page and navigate to PLAN. This gives you an overview of your current membership plan. To change your plan, click CHANGE PLAN and follow the next steps.

Agencies

How do I join an agency?

As a member, you have the option of applying to join a modeling agency registered on our website. Once approved, your account will be visible on the agencies profile page.

Does the agency control my account?

No. You can still apply to projects yourself. Being a part of an agency means you're now displayed on their profile page.

What if I am signed by multiple agencies?

If you have multiple agencies, you will be able to select which agency is currently ‘active’.

Projects

What Are Projects?

Projects are essentially, jobs. Projects allow you to communicate with your entire team, all within our website. It'll make your life easier, trust us.

Can you invite people to your projects?

Yes, we encourage it. If you already know who you want on your team, send them a PROJECT LINK, available on the project page. They can now officially join your project and become a member.

Project Statuses

Open Open projects are public and anyone can apply to it.
Ongoing Once you've accepted and approved the members, you can now officially start the project by changing it's status to ONGOING. People can no longer apply to Ongoing projects, and a new function called PROJECT CHAT will appear in the Manage Project page. This allows all the members to chat in the same group.
Completed Once the project is done, you can change it's status to COMPLETE
Closed Projects are automatically closed
Cancelled You can manually cancel a project, and Closed projects will automatically cancel after 14 days.

Are Projects Paid or TFP?

Projects can be either paid, TFP or both.

After I join a paid project, how do I get paid?

That’s at the discretion of you and your employer. MSA has no involvement in transactions between users.

What if the employer fails to pay?

If they do, your best option is to handle it like any other case; call the authorities. There will be evidence of your conversations in your messages, as well as your first-hand testimony of the situation.

If so, can I leave a bad review?

We are currently working on implementing a testimonial system. Until then, any issues should be notified to [email protected]

Services

What is the Service feature?

It’s a way for professionals to advertise their services, whether it be photography, retouching, makeup etc. Your profile is directly linked to the services. It’s an easy way for clients to find professional services without the need to click each and every profile. It also provides another avenue of exposure. Think of it as your own personal classifieds for your business/service.

Why do I need a Service page if I already have a profile?

Because people are multi talented. Here are some examples of people who would benefit from a Service page.

Are you a model who wants to provide catwalk lessons to newcomers? Create a Service. People can now find and contact you based on this interest.
Are you a photographer with a studio for rent? Advertise your studio and information by creating a Service for it.
Are you a versatile makeup artist but also specialises in special effects makeup? Create a Service specifically for this.

Services allow you another way to advertise yoursself and your skills. They are basically classifieds for your business and services.

Can anyone create a service?

Only PREMIUM members can create services, and you can only create one service at a time.

Does MSA take a commission from services?

No, we do not. There are no transactions relating to the services feature. Payment is at the discretion of the buyer and seller.

Reporting

How do I report a user?

Can I report content I consider inappropriate?

You can, but depending on the type of content, further action may or may not be taken. Content such as nude and boudoir fall within our acceptable guidelines. Pornography however, does not. See our Terms of Service for more details.

Premium

What do I get with a Premium account?

A Premium account expands on a number of features. Click HERE for details.

Why should I get premium?

Premium members get to do more and benefit from both the FEATURED and VERIFIED BADGES. If you’re serious about your profession and want unlimited access, Premium is the way to go.

Can I still use the site without premium?

Absolutely. We provide enough options for free members so they can get the most out of it. You don’t need a premium account to be productive, but serious professionals should consider the extra benefits that Premium provides.

How do you get a VERIFIED badge?

Only Premium members are given badges. It’s a reassurance to the public that the member has been, well, verified.
